The Bharat Mandapam, Convention Centre also provided the platform to host first G20 summit by India in the year 2023. A large public plaza was made as a buffer space between the public zone i.e. exhibition halls and the convention zone where VIPs from all over world would meet. This was planned with the utmost security of global leaders while keeping both the activities ongoing at the same time. This elevated plaza with a large cascading water feature lined with row of trees provides a perfect foreground to showcase the architectural marvel.

The project ITPO is designed to cover approx. 4.5 lakh sqm of plot area and 3.6 lakh sqm of open area. The open area has been landscaped with creating usable and functional spaces connected with shaded walkways, which are flanked with various point of interests decked with artworks of various Indian artists showcasing India’s rich heritage.
The grand landscape plaza is adorned with a large Musical fountain as a termination feature which hosts events based on the Patriotic theme. The exhibition plaza also boasts a 24 m wide canopy serving as protection from bad weather while connecting all the halls together. This shaded walkway also provides breakout spaces in between by having landscaped FnB spaces along with three large Amphitheaters. The cultural functions to cater 2000 pax are to be organized at these amphitheaters.
A total of 825 no’s of trees were retained and 5800 no’s of trees of high ecological value are newly planted.
