Samir has been extensively involved with Heritage Conservation for Delhi over two decades now. He worked with Prof M. Shaheer on the preliminary designs for the garden restoration of Humayun’s Tomb for the Aga Khan Trust. Samir examined and contributed to enhancing extensive heritage projects such as the Sunder Nursery and Humayun’s Tomb Interpretation Center. He has also contributed in framing the guidelines for Heritage Precincts.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mathur when he was appointed as the Convenor for re-writing the section on Landscape Development, Signs and Outdoor Display of the National Building Code 2016 to include the latest industry standards since 1983. In a collaborative effort with many stakeholders, Mr. Mathur stood out for being succinct and focused which ensured a compressed timeline. He was also crucial to incorporating the best international practices that helped improve the overall standard of the guidelines.
